Once the HRA is completed, an Occupational Hygiene Survey follows. This is a quantitative assessment of exposure that is necessary for more accurate health hazard evaluation. It consists of measuring the intensity or concentration of the hazard, the variation in time, the total duration of exposure, as well as the number of workers exposed. Measurement and evaluation of exposure is usually conducted by occupational hygienists, ergonomists and specialists in injury control.
